This page of my Macbeth adaptation is brief respite from the medieval art references; instead it's a William Blake reference. He always creates excellent Terrible King imagery. The art itself is drawn on top of a Victorian analysis of Lady Macbeth - How many thousands of words have been written about her over the centuries?? About who she is and what she wanted?? I'm just part of a long line of people fascinated by her.
Continuing with My Fav Macbeth Pages - Donalbain & Malcom have just learned their father King Duncan has been murdered. They resign themselves to exile (Ireland & England) as their safest option. I wanted to reference this painting by Millais of another pair of princes in danger - Donalbain & Malcom are peeking thru the silhouette of The Princes in the Tower.
My full text adaptation is out July 25th from Avery Hill https://averyhillpublishing.bigcartel.com/product/macbeth-by-k-briggs #sheakespeare #macbeth #millais #comicart
