We always start by recommending old world #wine. Our first respondent showed mild sensitivity for sulfite and tannin. Look for high acidity and low to moderate tannins in this case, Gamay, Barbera or Sangiovese.

@marksquires This is the most recent study out there and very interesting. I’m looking forward to what clinical results they produce. Like a lot of things, this may be the cause for some people, maybe not for others. Unfortunately, this is a research space that doesn’t get well funded…I actually think crowdfunding was used for this initial study.
Would love to hear people share their experiences with #wineheadache. 1) Your ideas of what causes them and 2) How you avoid them. Despite them being more common from red #wine, my wife and I seem as likely to get them from red or white.
@AlexGBardsley Those are factors for sure, but also hard for a casual consumer to assess, other than using price as a proxy.
