"At least a decade."

"Oh, is that all? Deal!"

In the end, the cat lived considerably longer under the dragon's care.

I tried to ignore this person, grasping at a basket that writhed and hissed in their arms, talking at me. I hoped I was not about to have serpents thrown at my face, and tried shuffling away, but the elevator was too small and slow to get far.

"LOOK."

I shrieked as the lid was ripped off the basket, revealing bright scales.
