Day 2. Met some haughty lass in a massive white sleigh, who was rabbiting on about a box she had which was stuffed with endless Turkish Delight.
She wisnae impressed when I pointed out everyone’s family tin of Quality Street ends up like that because nobody likes it.
Don’t accept crap sweets from frosty looking strangers, kids.
There’s a large green out the front of our house, a place for kids to play, dogs to run, neighbours to chat.
It has now also become home to several new residents, as the first snowmen of the year appear. Over the last day, since the snow arrived, I’ve noticed how communal an activity snowman building can be.
People come together to make one, of course. But I’ve also noticed people leaving a large snowball behind, which others finish off when they arrive a few hours later.
It feels like I might be spending much of the holidays tweaking and tinkering with the set of emergent systems and practices on information.
Have a Tana invite I want to make more use of, a Readwise Reader beta invite I love and seem to be using daily, and some older things to retire as well. Could just do with a Readwise plugin for Tana… (cc @robhaisfield)
There’s also the lingering dread of whatever the Dropbox / Apple thing was a couple of weeks ago I need to look into properly.
