It's been quite the arc seeing Ralsei go from no personality so everyone walks over him, to UwU step on me plz *blushes*
My other project is the start of an RPG thing made in godot. I really only worked on this when I felt burned out from working on the first project above. This is like maybe 3 weekends of work?
I'm using stolen assets just to prototype the idea of full 3D exploration with 2D sprites
It probably looks alot better than my software rendered game with a fraction of the effort...
Oh here is a vid of my #gamedev software engine progress. The glowing green ball is actually a sprite loaded from a PNG. I'm using it to test alpha blending
I guess since I'm back I might as well post an update. I've been working on 2 different #gamedev projects without worrying about posting about it or making progress.
One is going to be a bullet hell made in C without an engine. Decided to go software renderer using low res pixel art. I learned how sound works on a low level and I also made a basic pixel art font renderering system. I had alot of fun and learned alot over the months of reserching/coding at my own pace.
