2020 was nominally the second warmest year on Earth since 1850. It was slightly colder than 2016 but warmer than every other measured year.

It's incredible to see people celebrating on the streets of #Kherson, waving Ukrainian and European flags. Today is a historic day for Ukraine, its people, and for freedom.

There's no sign of a decline in carbon emissions from fossil fuels. It will even hit record levels this year.
