I'm really proud that lots of people came out. I live in a rural area, where most people are capital C conservative. It helped that people drove specifically to this area just to participate

In today’s #AudioMo , I’m browning my rice prior to adding water. This is the exciting content you guys live for, I know! I like eating rice pilaf, and I like listening to these entertaining sounds. Really excited to have people over for dinner tonight! I’m also really excited to eat lolz

Should probably write that obligatory introduction post, especially since my account is private.

Hi, I'm Wenwei. I am a struggling first year graduate student taking core coursework in linguistics. I was interested in sound change within and across morphological boundaries in Western Romance in undergrad; now my focus has shifted to computational models, including computational phonology. Don't worry — I don't actually post about my coursework or my emerging research interests. What is research, anyway?

I made chocolate cheesecake with fresh raspberries! Whipped cream would've paired really well with my masterpiece, but I don't like whipped cream, so 🤷🏽‍♀️ The important thing is that I got to finally eat a slice of my own cheesecake. Usually it disappears by the time I'm ready for it, so I either have to cut myself a piece beforehand or make my own! Unclear if this picture is cute or not since I took it myself! Sorry not sorry 🤷🏽‍♀️

@wenwizzle They're indented inwards/outwards right..?
It looks like a normal line drawing at first, but on close inspection it does seem like there's elevation in the lines, it's nice!
And the number line itself is perfectly drawn-
Mild discrepencies in distance between the points, but that's to be expected for anything drawn on paper, it's pretty accurate

@wenwizzle looks great, straight, regular :)

I had to look up what one of those was - today I learned that non sighted people sometimes draw in a mirror image to what they want because the raised bit on the other side is can more easily be felt. Must be nice not to have to do that!

Part of me wonders if doing a circle or closed shape using one of these boards might accidentally end in a cutout ?

@wenwizzle It looks great. Your numbers are very neat and the markings on the line are all even. The pen colour is blue and contrasts well on the paper so it's easy to read.
