We're working on a new Ines game for the #AdvXJam2024! Here's some footage from the intro cutscene 🥳

On related news, I finally created a separate account for our game studio @relativelypainlessgames. You can follow that if you're only interested in updates about our games, or keep following me if you like the other stuff I do as well. Or both, if you really want to complete your collection.

We'll start posting more updates on the game soon!

If you are able to do any of those things then you have no right to complain. If you truly wish to complain, just take my advice and do your own thing.

Is WTP being horror movie something I would want? No. But that doesn't mean I won't defend their right to do just that. Anything within public domain is by definitions FREE OF USE and it should stick that way.

Yet, people are suddenly going off saying "public domain was a mistake" like what? Are you insane????

We would never have beloved classics like Castlevania if it were not for the public domain. It is a constitutional gift. If you are mad that someone made a Winnie the Pooh horror movie, guess what- you can go do your own thing. You could make a Vampire Survivors clone with Pooh, or make him a superhero, a high-school romance AU drama, a 1940s Detective Noir; the possibilities are endless.

And you can feel how forced it is too. It feels like some corrupt exec from Disney is trying to convince the whole planet that public domain should be abolished, and the reactionary grifters who used to preach of "free speech" are actively helping them.

The whole point of the public domain is to give YOU (as a writer, artist, content creator, whatever) the complete freedom to do whatever you please to this particularly old thing- be it character or otherwise. THAT IS A GOOD THING.

I personally do not really care if characters that have recently entered the public domain receive radically altered reinterpretations. Why?

First off, no one ever gives a flipping crud about Dracula being this "cool grandpa" or Hercules, a story involving sex-murder-betrayal, being remade into a G-rated kids movie. So why is it that people suddenly give a crud if something like Winnie The Pooh or Popeye get turned into R rate Horror flicks? It is straight up hypocrisy.

A Kingdom Of Darkness - Oneirum Rex Part 6

In a world where the fabric between Fantasy and Reality blurrs, one young man born of the Dark awakens a great power that is yet to be understood. "If one can simply enter dreams, what is the difference between the real and the unreal?" he asks himself. A question that will surely lead to thousands more. But for now- a great evil looms, threatening the Dimension of Reality, and only the Black Healer may purify the Darkness.

Why do American game developers insist on making games with over 100gb, in a country with thee worst internet providers known to planet Earth?

And why is it that Japan keeps pushing out these low gb games when they have infinitely better internet?

Like wtf?? Make it make sense!!!
