Everyone's talking about the Magic: The Gathering Pinkertons debacle in a tone of 'oh my god I can't believe they'd respond to a thing like this with the honest-to-god Pinkertons' and I see why
but I'm here like, 'oh yeah, corpos gonna corpo--wait THE PINKERTONS *STILL EXIST*?'

HOT TAKE: I dun like the acronym LGBT-etc cos i wanna include everyone but then it would become too long ( LGBTQQIAA2S+, somethin like that ). But if i dun include them then we lack representation, and it kinda undermines their experiences.

I just say queer now...

Charles II Coronation etchings found in cupboard

The images, which are more than 350 years old, were found during a house clearance in Notting Hill

#Apple fam might want to have a look at xSearch for #Safari. You can finally get custom search shortcuts and use more than just Apple’s list of default search engines. Want to search Amazon or YouTube or Reddit directly? You can do that.

The more I think about this, the more I believe it is praxis. We are so frequently presented with visions of the future through SciFi, but often in the form of a warning to inform the present.

However, one of the things we often complain about is the inability of others to visualize a functioning perspective of the future.

What if, instead of designing dysfunctional futures, we occasionally splurged into utopian brilliance and wish fulfillment? Without the projection of our current problems?

@revoluciana There's conflict in them, but it isn't the centerpiece...

#BeckyChambers stories are really wonderful, lovely stories with queer characters, interacting different cultures, and some continuity if that's another thing that you enjoy. (One of the tertiary chars from book 1 has their backstory explained in book 2, which is the continuing story of one of the secondary characters from book 1...but you can enjoy book 2 without reading book 1.)

I'd love to see any of them as movies.

dear #mastodon,

which timeline/feature do you tend to spend the most time on?

p.s. please consider boosting for a more meaningful sample size.
