@dmoren I just wrote about the mammoth costs that libraries face when lending out DRM ebooks, so I’ve been chewing on this a good deal. If something like bookshop.org could scale in the far future to suit the needs of a public library, could libraries actually own and lend their own ebooks? The savings would be massive.
