I saw my annual subscription to The Verge was coming up and…

…I decided to cancel.

I'm just not interested in outlets which regularly platform CEOs and allow them to spread lies, delusions, and political malfeasance. I think Nilay Patel is the *least* objectionable of the tech pundits out there on that level, but he's still *far* too credulous.

Instead, I'll toss a coin to some other great indies starting with… Pivot to AI!

I know "Logan's Run" is dystopia, and as an over 50, I'm well past Carousel age (Renew!), but every time I see the old adage about old men sending young men off to fight their wars, I think they might have been on to something.

Or..

Magic genie set up, every day at exactly midnight UTC, the richest person in the world is completely divested of all wealth, and it is distributed equally to every living human in the world (it's magic).

Wouldn't solve all the problems, but betting it would help.
