Notes from fresh basic Gentoo install on HP DL380 G8, using LUKS and LVM. The install went smoothly, possibly from taking time to document the steps rather than rushing through them.

Arch running Armv7 in qemu vm running on Intel i7 host. It took longer than I thought, but I have seemingly hit upon the right incantation to make this work.
