Geographer-turned-roboticist trying to curry favour with our soon-to-be overlords.

I’m endeavouring to be a kinder, more gentle soul on here.

@[email protected] Same with “Wordpress Developer.” Not real web devs, am I right? We should strictly enforce how people are allowed to self-identify and scorn those who don’t subscribe to our views of how the world ought to be. Especially if they don’t do the work we want them to.

Yes. This is definitely mature, adult behaviour, befitting of 2023.

@ZachWeinersmith Not an answer but a few thoughts:

- a large part of food is logistics. Often you’re paying mostly for moving the product to your table than actually producing it.

- food standards go up which might counteract optimizations.

@Chrishallbeck “agree to disagree” arguments were my favourite pastime.

I’ve really got to wonder… what % of opportunities to practice debating skills were those arguments for kids and teenagers?

@lawprofblawg These consistently deserve a bigger audience. I hope this is just a mirror account.

If only judges were this generous.

@AdditionalQuench They only meet me once but I get to meet them another ten times as I keep replaying the encounter, second guessing all the ways I maybe, probably, almost certainly gave off the wrong impression. That stranger is probably telling people about that jerk they met today who never said “thank you” while understandably omitting the part about how my brain was on a different continent at that moment.

@joan_friedman @Teri_Kanefield

You know what? I’m going to increase my current meditation regimen by ten thousand times.

@Dr_Elizabeth97

The zebra did it.

@Teri_Kanefield I have 6 and 4 year old boys. How do I avoid that phase?

I can avoid that phase, right? Right??

A fugue is just a mashup of a simple piece remixed three extra times.

(this would kill with a very specific audience… or maybe my sense of humour is baroque)
