@timetc the poker app is more controversial than IMO it should be but I guess I have to accept that it is. I think I will rebrand it a bit and less emphasis on Watch. the comments were mostly negative and I don't think super useful. But i had given up on my goal tracker due to low interest, I mentioned using it to manage time when making the poker app, and got more signups for the goal tracker app so thats biggest positive

Main takeaway: target audience matters more than raw numbers.

@gulovsen not currently focused on crypto but very interested in the topic ! Decentralized social media and decentralized currency ... in theory should be peanut butter and jelly! In practices theres dumb binary sides where everything is pointlessly polarized :(

Built a microblog in less than an hour using Svelte, Planetscale, and Prisma.

Love Mastodon but if there's one thing the whole Twitter debacle has shown me it's that I want to own my own data.

I'll cross-post a lot for a while and I doubt anyone will be eager to visit this regularly, but I'm loving this personal site renaissance we're seeing.

If y'all are interested, I'll do a write-up of how to build this.

@nosaj fun idea! still figuring out mastodon so not sure best approach. I also think "custom themes" and doing it via CSS are separate concepts...to some extent "separate content from design and do design via CSS" has gotten way less popular (see the rise of tailwind css)

@paulg respect to sticking to your guns. it was sad how many journalists were banned from twitter, only came to mastodon to complain about the twitter ban, then ran back to twitter the second they got unbanned. have some self-respect!

@paulg biggest problem with Mastodon is its full of complaining about elon / twitter. looking for some programming / startup people to follow. jumping on pg thread to get attention, please shill me accounts to follow. see my last post for topics im interested in.
