A new low, even for #Google. Giving Google permission to share information about you with third-party websites is being falsely advertised as an "ad privacy feature". This is privacy washing at its most extreme. But it gets even worse.
There is a dark pattern on the second screenshot. It isn't just informing you about the fake privacy features. Clicking on "Got it" actually turns on these features that allow Google to use your recent browsing history for ads on third-party websites:
if you really cared about individual choice and bodily autonomy and consent -- you would give people the choice to not breathe in deadly pathogens
if you really cared about d/Deaf people and other people who have to lipread -- you would learn some sign language so you could wear a mask as much as possible and stop making d/Deaf people lipread all the time
if you really cared about people who can't wear a mask because of respiratory or sensory or other issues -- you would wear a mask to protect them from you
if you really cared about a world without police or governments -- you would wear a mask to take care of each other without being compelled to
if you really cared about disability justice -- you would stop fucking killing disabled people
Well, the ceasefire in #Sudan collapsed within hours. War has resumed. Today, the BBC confirmed that 8 Ethiopian citizens are among the dead. The dead were hit by stray bullets, shrapnel or shelling in the capital Khartoum. Ethiopia meanwhile, has become an evacuation hub, with thousands of Turkish, Sudanese, Somalis and Europeans landing in the country in recent days.
