@postfilm have you looked at wikie science, ah but it’s not on here as far as I know?
@dwhauthor yes, but how is it pronounced? I’ve heard some people say the “t” is silent, but I’m not sure if that’s a joke or not🤯
@josh that’s good to know, thank you. I was always afraid to show my face or give too much away because of herr dutton and the previous government’s need to know too much and of course what they can use against you in the future if you’re too vocal against them and rwnj, but I’m seeing (by lurking I must admit) that people do feel more free here. Although saying that, I’m seeing some very entitled people ( journalists) demanding change to recognise how brilliant they are, sigh…
@MagdaSzubanski it takes a little while, but apart from a few different kinda protocols like using hashtags and stuff, it seems a lot the same, but so much more nicer to disabled, gay and non conforming people 💪🏻
@josh yes, I agree. I really hope the worst of that place does not come here. I have noticed that you freely admit to being gay and disabled, which no one would on the bird. How are you gonna stop any nastiness spreading here from #racists, #homophobes #proudboys etc? I noticed you do curate (?) us before letting us in, but how do you do that?
@josh to be fair, I actually haven’t had much time to explore it all yet, but so far, I have found it easy to find people and interesting things, it’s just the protocols like the # and differences which I’ll pick up by being more engaged, but I think I’ll be happier here, I was finding myself moving away from twitter cause it was making me depressed.😎
@josh thanks for the tips, being a newbie and lazy, i intuitively thought I’d pick this up easily, but I am humbled to admit, I haven’t. #humbled
@wintermin thank you! Looks like it won’t last the week at the rate it’s going anyway😽
#introduction hi, my name is Vyonne, I’m from Perth, Western Australia. Like most people, I’ve come from Twitter. I joined in 2009 and used to love the instantaneous feedback and up to date news around the world that twitter gave. However as the years went by, I become more bored and went on it less and less except around the election periods just to keep up to date with Australian and American elections. I still check in daily, but don’t interact much as I find it much too confrontational. I like the sound of this platform, the friendliness that Twitter used to have. I’m learning how to use it slowly, but I’ll get there😎
