Astrophotography is a hobby of mine, been at it for just a couple of years. A lot of room for improvement.
Yes, that's totally #aurora! This is all images for my star trails processed into a little time lapse :-)

One of the brightest deep space targets in the sky is Messier 45. In the US it's known as the Pleiades, or Seven Sisters. I started this project in October, but when I got around to processing it, I decide I needed more data, so I spent a couple more nights on it in December.

Full resolution and more acquisition details are available on Astrobin: https://www.astrobin.com/0im8ux/C/

We’ve had a string of cool, clear nights this past week. I took advantage and worked on a couple of new targets. This is C49, the Rosette Nebula and NGC 2244 The Rosette star cluster.

I chose to process the nebula in the traditional SHO Hubble Palate.

Got a few targets that I'm done collecting data on so I'm working my way through them. We've got more clear nights coming this week so trying to clear the backlog a bit :)
I gathered data on this throughout Oct, Nov, and finished it up in December. I ended up with about 10 hours of usable data taken in RGB and Luminance.

Just a quick target of opportunity. About 45 minutes on each channel of LRGB on NGC 2395 while waiting for M78 to clear the tree line and house. Full size and annotated image on my astrobin page, same username. Thanks for looking. #astrodon #astrophotography #zwo #skywatcher

The Pillars of Creation within the M16 Eagle Nebula.

This image was taken with a ED80mm refractor, ZWO ASI183MC camera, ZWO Duo Band filter and processed in PixInsight, including star removal using Starnet 2. About five hours of 4 min exposures with darks.

The Rosette Nebula, C49. This is a new version with HOO colors !

One of my most favourite regions in the #nightsky: The region around #NGC7000 (North America Nebula). Tons of work were needed here. this is a 2x2 mosaic acquired in RGB and narrowband HA-OIII. Several nights of acquisition were needed. #astrophotography

Latest astrophotography image! Had a streak of clear nights this week. This is 190 x 300 second images of NGC 1333 https://science.nasa.gov/ngc-1333-stellar-nursery-perseus

My first image with any serious dust in it. Quite pleased with how it has turned out. Followed. A nice walk through by Adam Block on the same object and that really helped the processing.

On to the next project!

NGC 1333: Stellar Nursery in Perseus | Science Mission Directorate

NGC 1333 is seen in visible light as a reflection nebula, dominated by bluish hues characteristic of starlight reflected by interstellar dust. A mere 1,000 light-years distant toward the heroic constellation Perseus, it lies at the edge of a large, star-forming molecular cloud. This striking close-up spans about two full moons on the sky or just over 15 light-years at the

Almost forgot I shot this target. M44 the Beehive cluster. Was a target of opportunity this month while gathering data on the California and Casper nebula’s. Anyway, simple RGB, 30 second exposures about 30-45 minutes in each channel. Asi1600 mm pro with zwo RGB filters and the William optics zenithstar 73. #astrodon #astronomy #astrophotography #space
