For those buying an Apple Vision Pro on (or after) Friday the 2nd Feb, we’ve made a beautiful app you can use every day in your Spatial Computing…

I hadn’t heard about his aspect before “It has also created software to allow users to perform activities like dragging the Maps app off a Mac screen and using it to display a 3D model of a city on a table top, and has devoted resources to educational resources for the device.“ #Apple #AugmentedReality https://www.macrumors.com/2023/01/03/report-reveals-wave-of-features-for-apple-headset/

Here's an NTSC version of the pride test pattern if you want to do some analog-looking stuff with it.

@screenbeard @kerenlavelle @thoughtfulnz @AusSocialMods this is crucial, because many ethics processes are based on a “reasonable expectation of privacy” - how much privacy do people expect in a given setting?

If we make it clear that we expect not to have automated tools scraping, compiling and analysing our activity, we set that threshold.

@nrchtct @anirvan and it’s run by the students’ association, which I think is ideal.

As folks start to join us, I'd just like to remind everyone that this is a topic based instance. Discussion is mostly focused on SciArt, SciComm, data, visualization, creative coding, and related arts and research.

There is more about this instance here: https://vis.social/about/more

In the end, jobs are created by people who create value, and people who pay for value; and the society around them that makes the cultural and economic context in which all that is possible.

Civilisation creates jobs. Everyone who raises a child, sings a song, plants a seed, rights a wrong, creates civilisation.

@darth_mall @calebjasik I strongly suggest Metatext instead, it’s a better app; more full-featured, more accessible. Also has a feature to do OCR on images to help with Alt text.
@Tarale that elicited another delighted smile ^_^

If possible I’d suggest seeing someone who specialises in adult ADHD; apparently some 60% of ADHD peeps have another special characteristic so they’ll check for that too. Cost for diagnosis is substantial (maybe $1k or more; depends how many appointments it takes to get diagnosed and establish the treatment) but the ADHD part is very responsive to affordable meds.
