*smoking a Philly while being followed around by a guy who smokes Capris* damn was it the honey flavor that gave me away
I used to occasionally smoke cigarillos, and I was asked if I was gay so many times. Fair enough, I guess, but that's what you're clocking me by?
I think it's fascinating how Balalaika uses an APS because that was officer-issue for Spetsnaz, which is very specific but also a very impractical handgun in general, while Mr. Chang uses Hong Kong cinema shit. (Long-slide 1911s, and at one point, some funky Beretta models I can't remember offhand.)
The Bastard in Metro 2033 is peak survival-horror design. It's just fucked-up enough that it feels like it'll explode in your hands. It feels alarming to use. the magazine is infuriating. It's all the fucked-up parts of a Sten and an AKS-74U. Real post-apocalyptic metal shop firearm approximation.
It sucks ass when Battlestar Galactica switches to the bad Five-Seven-based pistols. The original ones looked like if whoever makes the guns in Blade Runner designed a P226. They look like they could actually kill an armored robot. I think they're what the 10mm in Fallout 4 is based on.
The powder-actuated piton-driver things that Belters use in The Expanse are also really good. Dead Space-ass improvised weapon.
Something I always liked about Babylon 5 is that the pistols looked like the blaster equivalent to a snub-nosed .38. They're small and metallic, but very distinctive looking. Great prop work. It makes sense that they wouldn't have hand cannons on a space station.
Probably not indicative of anything.
It's so cool how all my friends are forming interlocking pacts to not start smoking in our 30s over all this shit.
I'm going to start dressing like a Black Lagoon character now that I'm on psych meds, is what I'm saying.
