A ★ review of Frankenstein (2025)

Within 5 minutes, I deeply regretted everything about this movie. But especially that I had insisted on seeing it in theaters, rather than waiting for it to hit Netflix; had I only waited for Netflix, I’d have had the luxury of turning it off after those first 5 minutes, as I so desperately wanted to do, but instead I was stuck for another 2 hours and 45 minutes of a movie I already hated.  There are many reviews out there praising how closely this film follows Mary Shelley’s brilliant novel.
