This is genuinely exciting news — the fed has launched its system for doing instant electronic payments, with 35 institutions already signed on. Ask your credit union or bank when they’re launching support for it. (And note which tech media give coverage to bullshit claims from fascist CEOs purporting to build apps for this purpose, vs. actual real implementations that serve everyone.) https://explore.fednow.org/

Been a fitbit user for 14ish years and my most recent one is coming apart after 2 years.
Anyone recommend anything out of the fitbit ecosystem that handles fitness and sleep tracking? (must work with android)
I'm sure the boss (who's my not boss) will appreciate this 8 page missive on work problems, possible solutions, and long considered ideas. Not that it'll change anything because he doesn't have that power. But maybe, just maybe, it'll make things a tad better for those I leave behind.

I keep seeing articles like "what an AI told us to do when we go to xxxxx" in the news, like nobody understands that that will regurgitate the most boring permutation of the most popular choices for doing that thing across the banal internet. Its like traveling by always picking only whatever the top thing is on TripAdvisor with absolutely everyone else, and never doing anything novel. Collective mediocrity is what LLMs have brought us.
Dear management folks, it's worth remembering every day provides the opportunity to keep your people happy and working for you. If you try to change things when they quit, you're far too late.
