People will make so much noise about seeking "dangerous ideas" but have that mean exclusively fixating on what's considered edgy/cool among a particular subculture or offensive/provocative to a certain demographic, and then living in utter ignorance of any arguments or ideas beyond those horizons.

I bet my girlfriend that this picture of our cats could get 10 billion boosts on Mastodon.

She said she doesn't believe me. She said there's only 13 million accounts on Mastodon. She said there aren't even 10 billion people on Earth. She said it concerns her that I struggle so hard to comprehend large numbers.

This is what IBM demands from open-source developers. Meanwhile, they cried about the RHEL source code and called those distro users freeloaders or parasites. Anyway, FLOSS devs don’t own anyone anything. If you need support, pay for the contract. The sad thing is IBM/RHEL said they need to pay for their devs, and when you take it free, it is hard to maintain enterprise distro, but when it comes to other FLOSS devs/projects, they don't think the same logic applies. Mind your own business. Help if you can, offer some humanity. Otherwise, keep it moving.

Let’s talk honestly about your city.

If your city still thinks that the job of streets is to move cars, you have LOTS of work to do.

If your city thinks that the job of streets is to move people, that’s really important progress.

But never forget that streets are for a LOT more than just movement. Great streets are places for people to NOT WANT to move, or to want to move really slowly.
