Vegan over twelve years, without using meat from animals many years more. Also a creative soul.
@vegan Any of these healthy soup choices I would consider a base. A really good variety of food items from plants is  most healthy to keep having, with that no other things for food are needed. So adding cut up vegetables to each of those when those are made is really desirable. Hummus can work with such too.
@vegan There is something to be said for having raw veggies (and fruits). But there should not be any foods from plants to give up because those should be cooked. It is best to still have the cooked food and maintain a great variety of foods from plants, but not cook everything, with benefits from some of those things not cooked.
@vegan With increasing variety of plants for food until I get it to thirty for each week, if I can manage it carrying my food back that couple of miles walking and eating it all myself, I would still have to be sure it will taste good enough that I will continue with it. And I am doing what is needed for that a long while. I think using the hummus and medium salsa in all the cooked meals is the best, still for the variety I am getting guacamole more now, and it is not bad in my meals, at all.
@vegan Anything might become too much in a diet. But the healthiest way will not have that problem. Eat more variety of whole foods from plants. It should go up to thirty or as near to that as possible of different kinds of plants from which you have food. I have been increasing my variety to approach that, and doing this I can see I am not possibly getting too much of any one thing, this is still the most healthy approach, with the food for meals being whole food.
@vegan I'll still use the Earth Balance for spreading on bread as needed. It's not that healthy, I mainly use whole foods from plants which is a lot healthier but when I am sick none of those healthy things are as easy to have or as easy to get down as a bread slice that I would have the spread on. It'll still help my oatmeal and I'll have it a bit faster that way. Maybe some other alternative will occur to me on time for what I'd have next after this Earth Balance, vegan necessarily and healthy
@vegan This recent meal I was making was with quinoa, and it was with carrot, broccoli, asparagus, celery, kale, cabbage, olives, lentils, various nuts and seeds, guacamole, hummus, and medium salsa, I added seasonings and some dry seaweed to it. What more could I have added to make it tastier? I do not believe you can tell me anything that would be doing that.
@vegan I decided to use this Earth Balance I bought recently in each bowl of oatmeal I have, it is not often, generally once a week. I otherwise use it much less, like with a slice of bread just when I am sick in such a way that I can hardly eat anything.
@vegan Late in life I found information that we could be healthy without meat in our diet and saw I could continue without it, and was happy with thinking this way did not contribute to the slaughter of animals. That was just about 20 years ago. It was before I was online. But with use of online access, I learned in group communication about the issues to all animals in the industries, the effect on environment, the greater use of land, water, and resources, I knew to give up all animal products
@vegan I have Earth Balance now, I had used Smart Balance before and it was moldy when I got to the bottom of it, more of that was not in stock when I went back to get what I could restock at home for it. I was not having frequent use of the Smart Balance, maybe I should have that with the Earth Balance I have now. I will consider how, my food is generally healthy and having this more would not help that.
@vegan There is no known healthier way of eating than this, animal products are not needed for it, and certainly processed stuff that gets used with food is not needed.
