Dear Ladies and Gendlenerds,

I created a fully procedural milky way world shader for a project recently and thought it would be worth sharing. I packaged it into a usable node group and uploaded it to my Ko-Fi for the price of a little coffee. Enjoy!

A gold ceremony to remember

There are those moments in life you know already from the start are going to be the rare once in a lifetime events. This evening was one of those times. On a dark and wet autumn Friday afternoon my entire family and me dressed up to the most fancy level you can expect and took … Continue reading A gold ceremony to remember →

According to multiple reports at X and other social: "The DigitalOcean documentation team was fantastic, but they were laid off just in time for the big LLM content scraping runs that would have catapulted their work into the AI zeitgeist."

I guess the Google AI summary killed it because no more traffic was given to them. It is only a matter of time before many communities that depend on Google search traffic will die off.

Does Spinrite work on SD cards?

I have a Dell XPS desktop that has 4 built-in SD card readers on the top front. I see it in Windows, and Valide Drive sees and says it's OK. When I boot my Spinrite USB flash drive, Spinrite doesn't see it. I thought those SD card readers were USB. Should I get a USB card reader? Thanks, Mark

New #Blender project: The Meteor.

I almost fried my laptop while rendering this, but I think it turned out nicely.

The aurora is done with a procedural volume shader I wrote for a Nodevember project two years ago, the clouds are from the Real Sky addon and the foreground assets from Botaniq (except the boat, which I modeled from scratch. The meteor itself is simulated with #EmberGen.
