It has become clear to me that the worst thing I ever did for my career was accepting a high-level promotion. Unless your company is offering training and industry-recognized certifications, you are adding a title to your resume that cannot be backed up when looking for new jobs. The people who convinced you that you were the right fit for the promotion are not going to show up to your interviews after you are laid off. If I had never taken my last promo, I would likely still be working.

Logged into my DreamHost account to set up some DNS records and discovered that since I am still on a dedicated server, I have some seriously out-of-date versions of PHP running on a handful of sites. Yikes.

So far Lidarr doesn't seem to meet my needs for maintaining an mp3 collection, so I am thinking I'll use it to start a fresh FLAC collection instead.
oh dear, some of these old e/n sites I had are a bit embarrassing. 😊
It is done. My personal website is now HTML-only. Just a placeholder for now, but de-pressifying it felt pretty great. Time to dig out my website archives and get to work.

Coding pages upon pages of HTML for my personal website was probably the last time I really had fun with web development.
Thinking of redesigning mostly.fun with plain HTML. Bring it back to my E/N website roots.
