I'm from Austria, the land of mountains and cows, not kangaroos. I grew up surrounded by music and I have a passion for synthesizers. My music falls somewhere between trance, industrial, old school synth sounds, VGM and soundtrack music. The older albums have more of a classic VGM or ambient vibe to them while my newer music is very focussed on hardware synthesizers, mostly analogue ones.

My Onkyo PR-SC5509 died. The main HDMI out has been borked for over a year now and now it no longer decodes HDMI audio.
That seems to be a common issue with Onkyo receivers of that age. I checked and unfortunately have one of the faulty B revision DSP chips.

I don't have the spoons to try and organise genuine replacement parts. Will have to access my savings to get a Denon as a replacement :\
