Press release time!
We found a trans-Neptunian Object (TNO) on a very cool orbit: 2020 VN40 orbits the sun exactly once in the same amount of time that Neptune orbits the sun exactly 10 times. It's really far from Neptune (and the rest of the planets), yet very strongly tied to Neptune due to this Mean-Motion Resonance (MMR) in its orbit.
Here's the press release: https://www.uregina.ca/news/2025/astronomers-discover-rare-distant-object-moving-in-sync-with-neptune.html
❗The fossil fuel industry is a collaborator with the far-right everywhere.
Across the world, fossil fuel companies are bankrolling the new wave of fascism, expecting to profit from their ideological obsession with extraction and climate denialism.
Here in Scotland, several oil and gas companies with ties to the global far-right operate without accountability.
"Just sit with this for a moment. Israel perpetrated what is certainly the largest single mass killing of trans people in history."
And you know what, I'll bet that the bulk of the Israeli population don't fucking care one jot. What's another dead Palestinian, Iranian, journalist, doctor, gay or trans to them?
I work at a support office for a moderately large hardware chain. Today we got an all-company email about a new trend happening in our stores, where randos show up claiming to be reps of the ACA & begin speaking to workers about their "insurance eligibility" & ask for primary identification like names, addresses & sometimes even SS numbers. They usually have bogus IDs, some only pictures of gov IDs on phones etc.
Seems like it's a recon job helping #ICE to stage raids.
