@RecDiffs A long time ago I heard from somewhere a theory that your inner voice's *timbre* is an amalgam of all the voices you heard around you when an infant or thereabouts.

🌱 Congratulations to Emily Lowan, newly elected leader of the BC Green Party!
She is now the first political party leader in Canada on Mastodon — a milestone for healthier, community-driven digital spaces.
I look forward to seeing Emily share more here about expanding Mastodon adoption and supporting her MLAs as they join the Fediverse. Perhaps also a friendly challenge to other party leaders.

got a teenage kid? do they use a computer to write, make art or music, code, or anything else creative?
is that computer included in your backup solution?
if not, please back it up.
when I was a teenager, long before cloud backups existed (we're talking the IDE HDD era here), I had a drive failure. I lost 5 years of programming projects. I don't know that anything in there would be useful today, but it was a record of my entry into the subject and two decades later I'm still sad about it.
