@jrychter You're right, Windows 11 is becoming nothing more than a portal for sending ads to people. It deserves all of this criticism.

However, the normal Windows 11 install does not install McAfee, so I don't understand where that's coming from. I use Windows for gaming, that's it. And I perform a fresh install (via USB drive) usually about twice a year. Not once has it attempted to install McAfee.

@christianselig For people on the 12 or earlier, it makes sense. For those of us on the 14 (Pro Max in my case), there is literally no major reason to upgrade except to just be on the latest. USB-C is not enough for me.

I'd love to see Apple innovate on their phones instead of these very small incremental updates each year.

@christianselig Yeah, it is. It's just odd that my wife's phone (the one that worked fine) is showing it, but my daughter's phone (the one that errored oddly, but still went through) isn't.

Auto-registering basically makes it so the setup process of the device automatically transfers the phone number to the new device. I'm not sure that will occur with my daughter's phone this time, so we'll just have to do it after the fact, most likely (and worst case, go to my carrier's store to handle it).

Oddly one of the phones I ordered today doesn't show it will auto-register with my phone carrier, but the other phone does.

The orders went through, but the first phone I ordered did error out in an odd way while I was completing it (though I got the email verification of the order). And this is the phone not showing the carrier information.

I guess I'll find out next Friday! As long as the phone arrives, I can work it out with my carrier.
