@xahteiwi this one is still ongoing, and there are a lot of pain points, but for my specific use cases, VLC v3 beta is far better for using a media library as an actual music library (although now it seems worse at opening arbitrary files, so again, better for my specific use case).

@ploum i mean, it took quite a bit of work for me, but that's probably because i didn't want to compromise on the interactivity of the site without JS and generated static pages that replace button elements with links when JS is off

@alternativeto I will always shell out for gifski until the end of GIF as a format. The outputs are actually usable, and it's really the only thing that can create GIFs small enough to reliably send! It also gives a lot of internal GIF settings like the loop count, which I've used a lot to make interesting effects.
