If anybody is looking for an open source hardware project: a PCB which adds an AUX in to any generation of Homepod. The hardware is still incredible and the software and anything around is still awful.
The ability to plug anything into it would be awesome and could give the speakers a significantly longer usable lifetime.

It is fascinating how I have completely given up on the Mac App Store. I now go out of my way to find software that is not distributed through it. I just randomly saw an app update available and it was Garage Band, the first reminder in many weeks that the Mac App Store is a thing at all

Here is my take on "eat your vegetables" but for my job:
Absolutely make sure that all of your database tables have a created_at column that has data populated. Future you will thank you in a couple of years, you just don't know it yet

These come in two pieces to fit on the printer build plate. Two for Imperial and two for metric. The two pieces are assembled by a built in dovetail joint.

1Password 8 for Mac feels more of a punishment to use than accessing secrets through the 1Password web interface.

For example by default 1Password 8 sorts items by changed date in desc order. You people need to seek medical help

The 1Password 8 for macOS download isn't a download its a wrapper around an installer which then downloads the app and permanently breaks any 1Password 7 installation.

I think this is the single most disrespectful thing I have ever experienced on my Mac and I think I am done for good with 1Password
