Cracked open this manga I found at the Tezuka Museum about the “untold story about how Tezuka created Blackjack, and it’s incredible. Full of stories from his former assistants and peers, about how he was sometimes kind and other times demanding and difficult to work with.

When crimes against historically (and presently) disadvantaged or stigmatized minority groups like #LGBTQ people are written up as "just too many guns" we miss the part about too much bigotry, heterosexism, transphobia, homophobia, and structural violence, and our need to act on those too. He has all the hallmarks of a right-wing extremist: white, male, and a history of violence that targets a woman or women.

This is what we fear the most when right-wing extremists show up. This is why we fight them. If they don’t experience a pushback—HARD—and consequences for their actions, they will push the limits of violence as far as they can.
