@Sadsquatch I’m so aghast and saddened and feel like I should have been paying more attention…So many emotions, and somehow even more questions about people who influenced my pre-teens/teens.

@Sadsquatch Holy shit. When I was writing all that, I wasn’t aware of the “current events” surrounding the Newsboys and spent all of Saturday morning reading about Michael Tait, and now I’m realizing that my comments come off somewhat different…so…yeah.

@Sadsquatch Yeah, I know what you mean. I have respect for their abilities and careers, but some of the lyrics (especially from that era) definitely have an expiry date…best before you turn 18.

@jpthuot03 Yep, that’s pretty much my timeline too. I became a fan at the tail end of the Bure days. Big fan in high school during the WCE days, enjoyed the Gillis years, steadily lost interest during the Benning era, and really enjoyed the playoff run last year. And am still traumatized by 2011, so any win over Boston means more than it should…
