I've wanted scheduled alarms for 15+ years now in #ios and the default Clock app still only allows for repeating an alarm.
AlarmKit is one of my favorite new features in #ios26 and will allow third party apps the ability to break through all active silence settings, similar to the default Clock app.
The @due update coming later this year will allow me to schedule one off alarms for specific events without having to use the repeat option while still breaking through all active silence settings.
Thoughts after a couple days with the #iPhone 16 Pro Max:
* Battery life feels vastly improved compared to my 15 PM
* Runs significantly cooler
* Camera Control is going to take a while to adjust. (Settings > Accessibility > Camera Control > Lighter press option; Much easier to use now)
* Screen doesn't feel any bigger than the 15 PM
* It feels lighter than the 15 PM, although it is heavier.
New #iPhone 16 Pro Max picked up. Another very smooth pre-order and pickup.
* Transferring cell service (T-Mobile) was very smooth, took less than a minute.
* Transfer of data, using the iPhone to iPhone method, was smooth.
* TestFlight apps not being installed is still a pain.
* The worst part, as always, is adding cards back to Wallet.
Following the #Proton acquisition of Standard Notes, deafening silence from the SN team and Proton. Repo has gone quiet as well. What's going on? #StandardNotes #privacy
I only have a few more years left on my subscription, hopefully I get to use them:
