@PhoenixSerenity I'm NT, and in elementary school I was an exemplary student all around, until 5th grade math. Between my teacher being one of those who seemed to think that "tough love" was the best way to motivate a kid and whatever it was about the concepts of math in that grade, my motivation - and then my achievement - tanked. I struggled with math off and on for the rest of my public school education and had to take 3 semesters of remedial algebra in my late 20s in order to take the "math for teachers" course required for my degree (Bachelor of music ed). I was a much better algebra student in college, but the fact that I had forgotten so much is what led to multiple semesters of catch-up.

To this day, however, I struggle with mathematics as it relates to financial tracking and money management. Interestingly, I always did relatively well with geometry subjects, and I am a musician, which has a strong mathematical component in terms of notation.

I joke and say, "I'm a musician, not a mathematician" to this day when I'm struggling. I know that I *can* do numbers, but it's never been my favorite and I'd much rather write than do math when it comes to academics.
