Can I ask for suggestions for good RPGs that I'm able to play on the Switch?

I like good story, especially. My latest good one was Nier: Automata, but I'm open to a lot of stuff.

Open worlds are not a requirement. I'm fine if it pushes me through the story, and often prefer that to a weak story with open world.

I used to play on PC, but my kid took over my gaming PC and now I'm only left with the Switch, which is a good system, but not as great for RPG options, I feel. Still. It's what I've got for now.
@revoluciana
I've been obsessing over the SteamWorld games, so Quest is a good choice imo.
I Am Setsuna reminds me of GBA RPGs.
Bug Fables takes the old Paper Mario style and runs with it.
The Loathing series (I have West of Loathing) is funny.
The new Mario & Luigi game isn't as zany as the Alpha Dream ones, but its solid.

@revoluciana
Another one that is more of a action RPG and reminds me of Secret of Evermore (SNES) is Eastward.

Some less RPG-y games that have good story.
Deliver Us the Moon. Post apocalyptic, but good 3D adventure game.
TOEM: Not plot heavy, but it tells a fun tale and is a very relaxing game.
Sherlock Holmes - The Awakened: Adventure game by a Ukrainian developer that meshes Sherlock with Lovecraft. (On sale atm $3.99)
Beautiful Desolation: South African adventure game. I don't remember if it's straight fantasy, or post apoc fantasy.
An adventure game with a really near artistic and narritive hooks is The Return of the Obra Dinn.

Something that might be up your alley is Heroes Hours Contract and its sequel. Magical girls form a union against their familiars Fun duology. Well, there is a third one on the works on PC.

@revoluciana what kind of PC games do you like? Would a low end mini PC work?
@revoluciana There's obvious choices like the Zeldas, though that's always skirted the definition of RPG. Obvious ones like Pokemon or Mario RPG/Paper Mario. FF7R and I think Original are both on there now. Fallout 4 and skyrim are available though F4 is a switch 2 exclusive. I enjoy the Xenoblade series. The Suikoden 1/2 remasters. I've always heard good things about Fire Emblem Three Houses. uhhhh... that's kinda it off the top of my head.
@revoluciana my kid enjoyed the Xenoblade series a lot, story does seem pretty epic!

@revoluciana

I believe The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt is on the Switch. Best you can get. Open world, meaningful side quests that feel like complete story lines in their own right. Incredible DLCs (get the Complete Edition and don't look back).

I don't know about graphics and performance on the Switch, though...

@revoluciana one fedi favourite is the horror game (think old resident evil, not pure screamers) SIGNALIS. I've been playing it and the story has been excellent if you're into futurism
@revoluciana If you're looking for JRPG, there's plenty of Tales and FF games. Diablo 3 as well as 2 Resurrected is on Switch
@revoluciana Is Zelda: breath of the wild RPG? If so, then both this and its sequel are wonderful!
@revoluciana i really enjoyed the xenoblade games, especially xenoblade 2.
@revoluciana I really enjoyed Super Mario RPG which wasn't originally on the Switch but got re-released on it
@revoluciana Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana are a lot of fun and have unique mechanics and story. If you don't mind turn-based/tactics, Fire Emblem Three Houses is a great time.
