I sits I knits
Yarn holds my brain together

Multiply disabled yarn crafter.
If its yarn, if I haven't learned it yet its a question of when not if I'll learn it
My brain makes me craft, my body makes me craft my way.

It's all good no matter how different it is or how limited I might sometimes be.

I messed up my #FastenOffYAL Take Your Time project and needed a quick satisfying win when faced with frogging 3 long days of knitting so I grabbed worsted weight acrylic and held it double and made a super cute tortoise! This Sully the Sulcata Tortoise by Crocheting Savvy is super satisfying for a quick win and I'll definitely make more with scraps like was my original plan

Super happy with how this impulse needed a knit to swap between with the crochet project I'm doing came out. I love the yarn and pattern match!

Cast on my 6th #FastenOffYAL pattern today! Excited to almost be done with gift stitching and able to move onto the patterns I discovered and badly want to make for myself (or for non obligatory gifts). There's so many interesting patterns it's always a balance between gift and non gift stitching that ends up coming up.

This is the dodeca-pineapple rug which is being made in sport weight yarn to be placed under the corner celebrating my parents recently passed parrot.

I've gotten multiple gifts finished with my #FastenOffYAL stitching already! Don't want to share them all since they are gifts but these bookmarks are super cute

Took me a while to be up to posting alt text, but I test knit the Action Potential Hat by Synaptic Stitches and this was such a fun knit. I really struggle with smaller needles, but find hats satisfying because they're a size that I can complete anyways despite the challenge I have, and this was a fun combination of repetitive enough and thinking enough. Plus, now I have a neuron hat.

I've been wearing it as my default winter hat currently and its definitely neuroqueer gender euphoria.

I test knit String Theory by Stitches and String Theory https://payhip.com/b/U0d3j back when it came out and I loved the yellow tonal yarn I used and wanted to make other accessories with the same yarn

For #FastenOffYAL I decided I'd actually do this now and made myself Dulcie by Woolly Wormhead https://www.woollywormhead.com/dulcie. It was a super fun just one more row knit, which feels like it is gonna fill needing a winter wool hat with at least a small brim well!

@fuzzymitten And what came out was this absolute adorable bat which has all sorts of visible flaws, like the head is too small, and its so very cute with it, because it looks like the sort of overly loved stuffed animal which has been held so much nothing is quite in balance anymore.

I love it.

Both, I find this an incredibly cute pattern, and this was a push for me to challenge myself to do because I really wanted to gift this, and I love what came out.

Another Mousie (same Roly Poly Mousie by Caylynn Creations pattern) this time with a 4mm hook rather than 4.5mm and no face, in order to be safe with less observation.

Also this took 2 days of stitching, I don't recommend ear issues. I literally couldn't reliably remember how to do single crochet with how much pain my ear was in until I got to my ENT

I'm so getting distracted from everything else by crocheting cat toys...

This one is the Roly Poly Mousie by Caylynn Creations https://payhip.com/b/xn319

It's also the first time I've used pure cotton successfully in years - I'd had to completely stop from pain. I learned trying on this that I've practiced enough crochet it'll take me all day to make one Mousie toy but I can be lighter on the yarn in a way that prevents immediate hand spasms and pain for weeks.

This project really hits the yarn is magic for me because it started with some worsted weight (white) wool mohair blend that I just didn't want to deal with because it's itchy and then held it double, making it easier to handle and getting the bulk this project wants, then apply food coloring and a microwave and suddenly it's all a leaf.
