I sits I knits
Yarn holds my brain together

If its yarn, if I haven't learned it yet its a question of when not if I'll learn it
My brain makes me craft, my body makes me craft my way.

It's all good no matter how different it is or how limited I might sometimes be.

It's always fun when I get to talk to fellow designers about our work. I don't get to do this often, but at least once a year in the Fasten Off Yarn-A-Long @fastenoffyal I get to do this.

This year the format has changed to a more fluid conversation and I loved it.

You can watch the replay of your talk about niches, audiences, what people love to see and what we love to see from people.

Designer Conversation with Synapthic Stitches, YarnAndy and An Caitín Beag - Fasten Off YAL 2025

I messed up my #FastenOffYAL Take Your Time project and needed a quick satisfying win when faced with frogging 3 long days of knitting so I grabbed worsted weight acrylic and held it double and made a super cute tortoise! This Sully the Sulcata Tortoise by Crocheting Savvy is super satisfying for a quick win and I'll definitely make more with scraps like was my original plan

Super happy with how this impulse needed a knit to swap between with the crochet project I'm doing came out. I love the yarn and pattern match!

Cast on my 6th #FastenOffYAL pattern today! Excited to almost be done with gift stitching and able to move onto the patterns I discovered and badly want to make for myself (or for non obligatory gifts). There's so many interesting patterns it's always a balance between gift and non gift stitching that ends up coming up.

This is the dodeca-pineapple rug which is being made in sport weight yarn to be placed under the corner celebrating my parents recently passed parrot.

I've gotten multiple gifts finished with my #FastenOffYAL stitching already! Don't want to share them all since they are gifts but these bookmarks are super cute

Lol posted this on my main when I meant to share it here but why not, it deserves said both times.

I really love about #FOYAL how the YAL makes me feel completely included even though I can't afford to buy any patterns. The search of patterns is there for when I might have a bit of spare money (yay!) but I am not participating any less for doing everything from what I already own. This really needs encouraged, because the recognition that low income people do fiber arts too is really important.

Took me a while to be up to posting alt text, but I test knit the Action Potential Hat by Synaptic Stitches and this was such a fun knit. I really struggle with smaller needles, but find hats satisfying because they're a size that I can complete anyways despite the challenge I have, and this was a fun combination of repetitive enough and thinking enough. Plus, now I have a neuron hat.

I've been wearing it as my default winter hat currently and its definitely neuroqueer gender euphoria.

my wheelchair has rainbow spokes and its actually just because i just got it and i put rainbow spokes on it immediately but i'm absolutely claiming its dressed up for pride.

now i need to crochet a turtle and have it ride on a handle when i'm not being pushed

#stitchesForPalestine is a MKAL that's running to raise money to support families in Palestine. Whether you can donate or raise awareness, we can all do things to help these people in life threatening situations.
