The Oxford Handbook of Charles S. #Peirce is out - Edited by Cornelis de Waal and with lots of very interesting contributions.

đź“„The chapter I wrote looks at "The Philosophical Relevance of Peirce's Historical Studies" throughout Peirce's long intellectual career.

⏰ Hot off the press, a new edition of the Ethical Reckoner about Ozempic and the dangers of using science to wallpaper over thorny problems in society (like diet culture, or how we’re killing the bees).

Mastodon #philosophers, any ideas about papers/chapters on conceptual amelioration (Haslanger-style) which are especially accessible to first-year BA students? Thanks!

#pakjesavond seems a good opportunity to share this piece by my Maastricht colleague Darian Meacham on #BlackPete. Judging from my fresh, but first-person experience as a parent of school kids, there's still a long way ahead of us

Visited the gallo-roman museum in Tongeren it's impressive. Also, great activities for kids. Only odd thing: the texts are exclusively in Dutch. Odd in particular for a museum 9km away from Wallonia and with obvious international significance. (Video and audio are in French/Ger/Engl too).
