Leading editors, lawyers, publishers, and journalists have warned that the UK’s legal system is being abused to silence the media and prevent it from exposing wrongdoing.

Important context for western excitement over the prospect of China abandoning zero COVID:

If China had lost the same percentage of its population to COVID as the U.S., the country would have lost ~4.5 million people to this virus.

And those are official numbers. Given how COVID is linked to serious health conditions post-infection, the actual number is likely much higher.

It should be a much bigger scandal that the Biden administration has abdicated its responsibility to protect the public from a deadly, debilitating virus that can kill long after infection.

Hell, they’re not even warning the public about those long term risks.

The administration is leading with politics and concern for the economy, not public health. And unfortunately, our leading public health officials aren’t willing to push back, in a display of profound cowardice.
