I am here now. Where are the climate scientists and journalists? And writers? Is this the world we want? We can do better.
I write books. I follow climate science and act on same.

On V-E day, May 8, 1945, one of the Allied POWs profiled in After the Great Escape: 1945, Forced March to Liberation was doing this.

"Rode a G.I. truck to Straubing on May 8, flew to LeHavre, spent 10 days there being fed, clothed, bathed, shot, and interrogated..." Lt. Don Phillips

Le Havre was the location of Camp Lucky Strike. Don was a RAMP (Recovered Allied Military Personnel).

We are two days away from the 78th anniversary of the Liberation of Stalag VIIA on April 29, 1945.

The picture is from the Air Force Academy website. The picture was taken on liberation day.

One of the men pictured is Lt. Col. Albert Clark. He is one of the POWs in the book Forced March to Liberation. He had been a prisoner for 33 months.
