No. I don’t ever want to jump on a call. Ever. In my experience, Extroverts (usually unintentionally) take advantage of Introverts on the phone. I find the playing field to be level when everyone has to type.

If I want to go the VPS route but don't want to use Hetzner, what are decent alternatives that are less expensive than DigitalOcean?

And SHOULD I be looking at VPS for #Django?

My goal is to get off of Fly.io.

And while we're at it, if I want to host outside the US, does it matter if the company is US-based vs wherever the server location I select is?

Is it normal to need to verify a new Hetzner account by taking "live" photos of your ID and face? Makes me want to just back away slowly, but everybody seems to like them.
