Here's another Recall issue I see.

I have the sensitive information filter option enabled, highlighted. If I update my credit card on Microsoft's website, it captures the card number, CVV and details, and indexes it into the text database too and stores it under 'credit card', accessible in search.

The only details obscured are by me altering the screenshot to remove some PII.

(If anybody is wondering, I also tried it with a real card number)

Recall still scoops up WhatsApp and Signal chats, haven't tried others yet. Fully searchable and stored as text in the local Recall database. My blur on screenshot.

🚹 Florida’s new “Social Media Use by Minors” bill (SB 868/HB 743) has a chilling twist: it demands platforms create backdoors to decrypt private messages.

That means:
🔓 End-to-end encryption may be turned off
đŸ“” Disappearing messages could be banned
🧒 Minors lose digital privacy
💣 All users may face weaker security

EFF warns this is a dangerous precedent that risks everyone’s online safety. Legislating away encryption doesn’t protect kids — it jeopardizes all of us.

Florida’s New Social Media Bill Says the Quiet Part Out Loud and Demands an Encryption Backdoor

At least Florida’s SB 868/HB 763, “Social Media Use By Minors” bill isn’t beating around the bush when it states that it would require “social media platforms to provide a mechanism to decrypt end-to-end encryption when law enforcement obtains a subpoena.” Usually these sorts of sweeping mandates...

The markets "soared" today according to the press.

I guess "soared" in the same way when I accidentally threw my wallet in the trash and dug it out, I "found" a bunch of cash inside.

Good to know, if you witness birds doing the same: If you treat your pets chemically against ticks or fleas, please remove their hair from your garden/balcony. The chemicals in tick and flea treatment can negatively impact birds' breeding chances.

Edit: If you want to help your bird friends offer untreated wool, straw or jute instead.

There is nothing more badass than the tiny birds (I guess they are some sort of tits - and yes I have to chuckle about that name every time) coming to our balcony and collecting cat fur from our doormat to bolster their nest.
They also know exactly that my cat can't reach them without a human opening the door, so they seem absolutely unimpressed if she announces their upcoming demise from the other side of the window.
