@ghostmeet @sean_ae @c_reider @Aleums

i haven't had noisefloor issues.
general approach is:
all 3 outputs at 100%.
samples are normalized to -1dbFS and then attenuated digitally in the built in mixer and then im just mixing to a radial KL-8 which is calibrated to unity +4dBu (a whole other tangent to sort out with that particular mixer).

haven't had headroom issues either.

anyways i think it's a sleeper despite its faults. something to have a look at @c_reider

@sean_ae @c_reider @Aleums

the DACs sound good imo.

tho i got very OCD with sorting how to gain stage it. really wide open and clean (in a good way) if u gain stage right...

really good sounding filter and snappy envelope imo.

turn the bus comp off straight away tho...

@sean_ae @c_reider @Aleums

it is weird....
why do you think i've been trying to sort all these sample folder picking methods in max?

at least there the bugs are my fault the overwhelming majority of the time...

😂

@c_reider @sean_ae @Aleums

it was the smallest thing i could find that had multiple output functionality. 3 stereo pairs lets me process different groupings of parts with diff FX etc

fwiw i been using the 1010blackbox since summer. it's weird in a lot of ways but i committed to it and i like lots about it now, its a bit like having a paired down s5000 that fits in your backpocket. im using w an external seq tho, don't know about using it purely on its own...

oh for the bialetti grinder set to around 11 is a nice flavor

ok enough about max rigs
what are everyones afternoon coffee rigs

me: cilio pour over. baratza encore set to 15. 1/3 caf 2/3 decaf any decent light roast. one teaspoon raw sugar. bit of whole milk. my better half: i use bialetti stovetop and also their stovetop frother thing which is fun. latte, etc.

yeah i know what you mean about the spatialization. will just need to use it in context and see which gels more.

@sean_ae @chrisorstedt @bobbyrethwish @Kama11

yeah this actually is sick, might work way more for my brain. one chooser with folders, one that spills out with the contents, scroll up and down with arrows, save into pattr via textedit...

would be a cool way to select patchers in a dynamic loading situation too. probably not enough room in your current main UI, sean, but for a setup with less channels / different layout, would be slick...
