@sean_ae Hey Sean, I was wondering.. did you ever try setting up your poly~ by loading them up with patches/voices beforehand and just muting/unmuting them as you switch? I've been testing two setups for the past days and I managed to get my stuff reasonably stable when loading patches, but I still notice that when using the setup that has patches preloaded as voices works way faster and allows me to switch a ton of patches without any lag. Likely a skill issue on my end tho

@sean_ae Semi-related to that gamelan ensemble video I shared a few days ago :D Figured you might enjoy this idea. Took the concept of the cascading (delay) sequencer and thought what if instead of delay lines, each step would start a cascade of phasors where function breakpoint segments define the phasor onsets. It’s still largely a WIP but insanely fun to mess around with, esp when paired with some physmod drums. Using an algo by Ben Johnson (ersatz_ben) here.

This sounds poetic, but is also quite literal!

To entrain is to assume: something will happen again; it will happen around about when expected; it is safe to commit energy in advance.

It is a minimal form of trust.

Despair is characterised, in part, by a breakdown of such trust. The future becomes either threatening or blank.

Rhythm gently reinstates futurity.

A pulse says: you can lean forward; time will catch you.

@sean_ae Saw this a while back and I keep coming back to it. The similarity between some of the newer material and this is insane, esp to that gong jam you posted which can be heard in the latest bootlegs. It's not even the timbre similarity that surprises me as much cause I know you're into gamelan, but just the rhythmical structures are so damn Ae sounding. Insanely cool.
