I'm a computer science student, web developer, and small-city journalist who really doesn't have enough time.

I am absolutely a follow-back boy.

@gundersen I have a project that I need to update and I haven't touched it in several months. I just know opening it is going to be like popping open a can of silly snakes.
Twitter is now an insecure platform, haemmorhaging security experts. It could haemmorhage your DMs, through leak or sale.
It's no hard guarantee, but your best chance to delete them is with is with #GDPR rights. I've written a blog on how:

Deleting DMs from Twitter using the GDPR

Twitter is falling apart at the seams. You might want to do your best to ensure your DMs don't end up in the wrong hands.

so obviously i'm sad twitter died, mainly because i got a lot of my indexing jobs that way, so if you need to have a book indexed, hire me! (please reblog this academics)

@johanbove I've done vimtutor but it'll be awhile before I can get the motions down.

Thanks for the link! Looks like a good resource.

One thing that's getting a little lost in this mix, is that some of the people desperately holding on at Twitter are because they are trapped by either healthcare or visas.

That there are systemic traps that trap workers in America so they feel unable to move freely to new employers who want them and would have better pay or conditions is *nuts* and deserves a lot more attention than it gets.

@kyleshevlin learning Vim and being incredibly slow at coding!

@johanbove Honestly? Because it looks so cool and I see people who know it move around at light speed.

I have just a little bit of extra time over the next few weeks to futz around with it and learn its way of doing things without much risk.

@sennomo @vimtips Thanks! I'll check it out.
I'm transitioning from VSCode to Vim and I have no idea how to do a single damned thing.
