@varsha_venkat @h_tejas For scholarly books it means reading and analyzing the manuscript to identify significant terms and concepts, then creating entries for each that capture the pages on which they appear. After that it’s sorting and formatting. It’s challenging but interesting work!

(Not to answer for you, Varsha! This is my own take on it.)

Again, for the older mastodonians: you're going to experience some of us as sharp. Sharp like glass, like knives, like swords, and you need to consider why we are that sharp, what conditions have made us this way, and how your conduct on this site continues to ensure that we have to be knives and swords in order to survive this place, to find community.
