First impression: Mastodon is friendlier and closer to twitter's USP than twitter. It hasn't been ruined by 'in case you missed it' curated nonsense.
At the moment though it's a little more niche - until more like me switch

@weegiejoe try tooting an introduction to yourself using hashtags with #introduction or #introductions - it's pretty friendly
