Last month, I joined Manuel Pastor, co-author of '#SolidarityEconomics: Why Mutuality and Movements Matter', for a discussion of the book's themes, particularly that *our* economy is a product of our relationships and not of utility-maximising individuals and markets acting out of rational self-interest. As always, I tried to re-centre the idea of #SolidarityEconomy to the global and away from the Euro-American as centre orthodoxy.

Applications close on 21 January for the for the 2024-2025 Institute for the Cooperative Digital Economy (#ICDE) fellowship programme. Fellows, typically PhD students or junior academics, receive a one-time $2,000 for travel expenses to the next conference in Kenya to present an academic report on a topic of their choosing within the ICDE's areas of interest. #cooperatives #CooperativeEconomics #SolidarityEconomics
