I'm living through the freefall of the middle class, resulting in sharper contrasts between the private well off, and the much more impoverished general public.

Maintained "old" things have given way to unmaintained old things, contrasting with incredibly new & well maintained affluence.

The "American dream" has given way to loitering at the door of affluence, pretending to belong, until security pushes us out.

Even the things that have always been there. Like having the highest end shopping stores right next to the Financial District, scream about the economic inequality that is gripping communities throughout the world.
